Make the Zombie Trend With Your Best Friend or Mom

The zombie trend started as a couples thing, but some of the best versions are with a best friend or a parent. The story (I could not shoot you) reads as loyalty instead of romance, and the meadow ending turns into a nostalgic memory.

Nothing changes in the generator. Keep Couple selected; it means any two people. What changes is who you cast, which photos you pick and what you write when you post.

Who should turn?

The right photo turns. A few castings that work:

  • Best friend turns, you hold the gun: the classic. Works for jokes and for sincere posts.
  • You turn, your mom holds the gun: the tearful close-up on a parent is what makes people comment.
  • Little brother turns: pure comedy, especially with a caption about who would get bitten first.
  • A friend who moved away: use an old photo of them; it does not need to be recent.

Photos for a friend or family version

  • One person per photo. If your favourite picture of you two is a selfie together, crop it into two images.
  • Similar framing helps: both waist-up, or both full-body.
  • Different ages are fine, with one caveat. In our October 9, 2026 test with a mother as the one who turned, the model skipped the zombie look entirely. The prompt now asks for the change "fully, whatever their age"; that version has not been retested yet.
  • Do not use photos of children without their parent’s consent.

Captions that fit friends and family

  • "Ride or die, even after the outbreak."
  • "Mom would never."
  • "When your best friend gets bitten but you have known her since kindergarten."
  • "Tag the friend you would not shoot."

Captions go on in the app you post with; the film itself has no text. More lines: zombie video captions and sounds.

What the film cannot do

  • Three or more people: no. The story has exactly two characters.
  • Both of you as zombies: no. The left photo always stays human.
  • Changing the romantic last shot: the final close-up is foreheads almost touching. With a parent it reads as tender; if that feels wrong, end your edit at 12 seconds, after the spin.

Is Couple mode only for couples?
No. It means two people of any relationship.
Can we do it as a group of three?
No. Make two films instead, with a different friend in each.
Can my mom be the zombie?
Yes, with her OK. Put her photo on the right. The zombie half shows grey skin and white eyes, so show her the film before posting it.
What does it cost?
